What to pack for your wedding day details shots
After months of preparing for your wedding day, you're now getting to the final days and prepping those last minute details. Putting all of your details in one box for your photographer not only helps me get those shots quicker, but makes my job a lot easier (less time searching for things!).
While there are some things you can't pack in a box ahead of time, like florals and your dress, most things that will go into the detail shots can easily be put together ahead of time. This wedding details shot checklist should help you get everything together.
Details Shots Packing Checklist for Brides
These are some of the items that brides can pack for their details shots:
- Invitation Suite (ideally 2x full invitation suites)
- ALL 3 rings (wedding rings & engagement ring)
- Ring box
- Perfume
- Jewellery - earrings, necklace, bracelet
- Shoes
- Accessories such as sleeves
- Veil
- Vow books
- Any gifts from each other
- Any notes or letters from each other
- Anything old / new / borrowed / blue
- Dress
- Any special hangers for the dress
- Bouquet
- Any extra loose flowers or ribbons
Details Shots Packing Checklist for Grooms
The following are things that grooms should consider packing for details photos:
- Invitation Suite (ideally 2x full invitation suites)
- Suit
- Any special hangers for suit
- Tie
- Cufflinks
- Watch
- Cologne
- Shoes & socks
- Handkerchief
- Belt / suspenders
- Boutonniere
- Any special notes or gifts from each other
- Any extra ribbons or accents from the day
- Anything memorable or significant
Why I recommend packing these items ahead of your day
Packing these items into a box or container before your wedding day will be such a time saver, plus it will ensure that nothing is forgotten. Preparation is key for your best day ever :) This packing list can be started months before the wedding day, however checking in a few days before the wedding to make sure everything is in there would be helpful.
